2017 Four Leaf 15's Tournament
The men making a return to one of NYC's best tournaments, The Four Leaf 15s. Hosted by the Village Lions and home to many RPI Alumni, the tournament takes place on Randall's Island. This year the tournament occurs over St Patrick's Day weekend. We invite you to join us in NYC, come watch the parade and enjoy a fun weekend of rugby!
This fall, the RPI men had a promising season coming off a strong playoff run. Returning players Steve Duduch, Seamus Holland, and Barnabe Bouchenoir kept the back line in strong form. The team saw a strong start, coming out 3-0 and finished their regular season at a solid 3-3 record. They finished their season in a close match at the Tri-State playoffs against the 1 seed Sacred Heart. We warmly wish Senior Captain Brady Condron best of luck as he was recognized as one of the top 50 forwards in the nation.
RPI Women's Rugby Season Recap
The RPI women, led by new Head Coach Andrew Denson and Assistant Coach Pat Riley, saw their most successful season in many years. New to the Tri-State Conference, the team entered the season excited for fresh opposition. With new coaches and a talented rookie class, the team blew through the competition and ended the regular season with an undefeated 5-0 record. In the Tri-State playoffs they earned three more wins, including shocking the number 3 seed Marist. The women finished in third place and earned a spot in the national playoffs. They lost a hard 1st round match against Buffalo State, but they were happy with their season. The women are looking forward to next season’s successes.
